Sigung Doug Jones
Doug Jones has been studying Martial Arts for over 30 years. Now a sixth degree black belt, he received his first Wun Hop Kuen Do black belt in 1980. He has won hundreds of Championships, holds 47 National Titles and seven World Titles (1996-01) including Coach of the Year (1998), and was #1 ranked middle weight in the California NBL and SKI divisions by Martial Arts Magazine for five consecutive years (96-01).

Sigung has been teaching adults, teens, and children at his studio for the past 15 years, following the traditions and new approaches to self-defense and martial arts training from his teacher, Professor Al Dacascos. With a remarkable ability to motivate students, he makes classes fun while teaching practical self-defense skills.

Sifu Damond Troupe
A lifelong athlete and Oakland native, Damond Troupe has been training with DJ’s for over 13 years, and teaches the adult all-level class on Monday and Wednesday evenings. He was recently promoted to third degree black belt and the title of Sifu in July 2008.

Sihing Sinclair Savage
Sinclair Savage has been training with DJ’s for 8 years. He has a black belt in tae kwon do, and was awarded his black belt in Wun Hop Kuen Do in March of 2008.

Anne Raftery
Newsletter Editor and School Historian
Anne Raftery has been in martial arts at DJ’s since 2000. She got hooked after taking a kickboxing class from Sifu Doug at World Gym in Emeryville in 98-99. Currently a blue belt, and continually learning, she enjoys the mix of physical activity with a more complete mind/body/spirit association. She’s also found another venue for expression in pulling together a newsletter and helping photograph and video the history of the school.
